This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information of visitors and guests who use this website or book a stay at Coeur de Champlain in Venise-en-Québec, QC.
1. Information we collect
Contact form on this site (minimized fields): first name, last name, email, phone (optional), which villa, intended dates (optional), and message. This form does not ask for a postal address. Technical data tied to form security: the IP address Cloudflare sees during the Turnstile check. If you book through Airbnb, Hospitable, or another platform, some information is shared with us under their policies (including a billing address when that platform collects one).
2. How we use it
We use it to manage bookings and messages, confirm payments, improve the site, keep the home secure, answer questions, and meet legal duties. We do not sell your data.
3. Sharing and sub-processors
We may share information with booking platforms (Airbnb, Hospitable), service providers (payments, site hosting on Cloudflare), or an authority when required by law. We never sell personal information. Guest reviews on the homepage are loaded server-side from Hospitable (the villas’ property-management system); the access token never reaches the browser. This is not an analytics tool.
The contact form sends the message through Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., United States), a sub-processor for email delivery. Resend receives the form fields (first name, last name, email, optional phone, villa, dates, message) so they can be delivered to info@coeurdechamplain.com. This transfer to the United States is named here under Québec’s Law 25. Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.) checks that the submission is not automated; the token is verified on the server. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers.
4. Retention and your rights
We keep information only as long as needed for bookings, tax rules, and stay follow-up, then delete or anonymize it. To access, correct, or delete your information, write to info@coeurdechamplain.com.
5. Analytics
We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or Meta Pixel. Audience measurement is Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc., United States): page views and referrers, with no cookie and no visitor profile. This tool does not require a consent banner. Hospitable widgets load their own scripts for calendars and booking. Switching to GA4 later would require a consent banner and an update to this policy.
